Delhi Govt Launches NEEV Programme to Build Entrepreneurial Mindset in Schools
Published: 2025 • Classes 8–12 • Directorate of Education
The Delhi government’s NEEV Programme (New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision) is a classroom-focused reform introduced in 2025 to replace rote learning with creativity, problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking. The initiative targets students in Classes 8 to 12 and equips teachers with new training to deliver hands-on activities and start-up simulations.
What is NEEV?
NEEV — New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision — is designed to instill grit, innovation and practical skills. Inspired by stories of resilience from popular culture and real-life achievers, the programme blends academics with experiential tasks so students can think like problem solvers and future job creators.
Key highlights
- Introduced in 2025 and announced as a flagship reform in the Delhi Budget 2025–26.
- Implemented for Classes 8–12 across Delhi government schools.
- Master trainers receive two-day workshops; inspections intensified through February 2026 to monitor rollout.
Classroom activities
Teachers use a NEEV manual with structured exercises: role-model research & talk-shows, the motivational “Tumse Ho Payega! Jar”, start-up simulations and peer collaboration projects that build leadership, teamwork and creativity.
Why it matters: The programme bridges the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, encouraging students to become innovators rather than only job seekers.
