Eligibility Criteria
Teaching Posts (PRT / TGT / PGT)
Eligibility varies by post. General requirements include:
- Required academic qualification (e.g., Post‑graduation for PGT; Graduation + B.Ed for TGT; D.El.Ed/B.Ed for PRT).
- Minimum 50% marks in qualifying degree where specified.
- B.Ed or equivalent from NCTE‑recognized institution (where applicable).
- Existing KVS service and required years of regular service for departmental exams (LDE/LDCE).
- CTET/HTET requirement: CTET Paper‑II for TGT posts and CTET Paper‑I where specified for Head Master posts.
Non‑Teaching & Administrative Posts
Posts such as Finance Officer, Section Officer and Secretariat Assistants require relevant degree (Commerce/Accounts/ICWA/MBA for Finance Officer) and prescribed service experience within KVS.
Age Limit & Relaxation
Age cut‑off for eligibility: 01 January 2026.
Relaxation as per Government of India rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: As applicable
Upper age may be relaxed for internal candidates/employees as per KVS rules.
Selection Process (LDE / LDCE)
The selection process differs slightly by post. Typical stages include:
- Tier‑I (Written Test): Subject knowledge exam (approximately 40 marks). Conducted in OMR/pen‑and‑paper mode.
- Tier‑II (Interview / Screening): Personal interview / viva voce or additional screening (approximately 60 marks) for posts that require it.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: General/OBC/EWS — 35%; SC/ST/PwBD — 33%.
- Final Merit: Based on combined performance in Tier‑I and Tier‑II (post‑specific rules may apply). For some administrative posts selection may be based on written marks only.
